North Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States, located in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The city was incorporated on May 16, 1946, and is known as the home of Nellis Air Force Base.
Located in the desert southwest, in the Mojave Desert, North Las Vegas is north of Las Vegas and north of the unincorporated town of Sunrise Manor.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 78.5 square miles (203 km2), all of it land.
